A shopkeeper tried to sell me a different brand of soldering iron from Soldron, claiming that it’s the same company that makes both. Do you manufacture for other brands?
No. We at Vimla Engineering only make pure 100% original Soldron products, and have not given anyone access to our trade secrets nor permission to sell as our sister brand. We have no branch and no equivalent in the market. Always insist on original Soldron products.
I paid for a Soldron product online but when it was delivered, it was a different brand. What should I do?

What if my bit is oxidised and won’t Solder correctly?
This happens because the tip needs to be tinned when using the iron for the first time. Doing so will protect your bit from oxidation in the future and extend its life.
How to tin-coat the bit:
- While the Soldering Iron is Off and while it is room temperature and safe to touch, ensure the bit is securely and firmly attached to the element of the soldering iron
- Keep ready a high quality solder wire of 5-10cm length to tin the bit with
- Switch the Soldering Iron On
- While the iron is heating keep the solder wire on the tip wait till it starts melting
- Make sure to generously melt at least 5-10cm of solder wire onto the entire tip section of the bit evenly
- Place the iron safely in a Soldron Deluxe Soldering Iron stand (Sold separately)
If you are not using the Soldering Iron always switch off the soldering iron and unplug it from the wall socket. Wait till the iron is cool before storing it. Avoid leaving the Soldering iron on for extended periods of time.
Success! Now your bit will last longer than if the bit were not tinned.
IMPORTANT: Every bit before initial use whether bought as a spare or if provided with an iron, must be tinned for optimum bit life.
Help! I used my bit and it is already oxidised!
If your tip is already oxidised due to extended use, do the following:
- Get some steel wool
- Gently remove the oxidation from the bit by scrubbing with steel wool, the end result should be a shiny tip.
- Follow above instructions to re-tin tip
- You should find that the iron will begin working properly again after tinning/re-tinning
Do you have any alternate/sister/family brand?

Which of SOLDRON's soldering irons is best suited to manufacturing of EV vehicles?
Our heavy duty irons such as SI100A and SI75A would be best suited for soldering EV terminals together.
The SI25A and SI35A models would best be suited for basic electronics and PCB soldering.
For SMD connections, any of our soldering stations (some with attached blowers) would do.
